In between miles of depth you can find playfulness
So today I wanted to play. I was inspired by my hike this weekend with my husband and daughter. This was my daughter's first hike up Mansfield. To think it was her first time really seeing miles of depth was a new wonder. The hike could have been worrisome and difficult bringing an eight month old up the biggest mountain in Vermont...but it was all coos and smiles each step of the way. My brush took a playful role today. This is done on a 24"x24" gallery wrapped canvas.
Hip to be square? or circle?
Its hip to be square. Walking around in circles on this square 1'x1' wood panel just reminds me of one of those cheery, happy-go-lucky, summer days.
I decided to play with color and stick to a simple landscape on a 1'x1' wood panel. The purple one to the right is more realistic in color whereas the one to the left is done in browns and teals, a feel that brings me back to the icy waters of Lake Tahoe.
