This Friday I am running in the Reach The Beach Relay (200 miles, 24 hours, 12 runners) to help raise money for the Taryn L. King Memorial Scholarship Fund at Bowdoin College. Taryn was a former teammate of mine when I played college lacrosse. Taryn died unexpectedly at age 21 from septicemia while studying abroad during the second semester of her junior year at the National University of Ireland (NUI), Galway.
