Grace On Ireland

This Friday I am running in the Reach The Beach Relay (200 miles, 24 hours, 12 runners) to help raise money for the Taryn L. King Memorial Scholarship Fund at Bowdoin College.  Taryn was a former teammate of mine when I played college lacrosse.  Taryn died unexpectedly at age 21 from septicemia while studying abroad during the second semester of her junior year at the National University of Ireland (NUI), Galway.  I painted this 20" x 20" landscape Grace on Ireland for the silent auction that will take place at the annual fundraiser event called Go Big or Go Home for TLK (www.tarynlking.org).  Through those dark clouds, there is warm light that brightens the grassy earth tones on those playful, rolling hills of Ireland.   Grace...
